Loudoun County Giant baby formula theft suspect at large
December 7, 2011 - 10:03 am
The Loudoun County Sheriff's Office is searching for a man they say tried to steal dozens of containers of baby formula from a Sterling supermarket on Tuesday.
Authorities say that the suspect fled the Giant in the 21800 block of Towncenter Plaza in Sterling just after noon on Tuesday.
The suspect was allegedly pushing a shopping cart with 85 boxed containers of formula when he was confronted by a Giant employee. After the confrontation, the suspect fled, getting away with none of the product.
The Sheriff's Office describes the suspect as a 6-foot-tall black male with glasses and a thin mustache. He was last seen wearing beige pants and a black knit cap, leaving the area in a Ford Expedition SUV.
The investigation into the incident continues.
