Male shot near Anacostia Metro in southeast D.C.

WASHINGTON (AP) - Authorities are investigating a shooting near the Anacostia Metro station in southeast Washington.
Police say a male was shot in the 1100 block of Howard Road about 4:15 p.m. Thursday. The victim was conscious and breathing after the shooting.
It was not immediately known if the victim was a juvenile or an adult.
