Man critically wounded in Montgomery Village shooting
A man was shot and critically wounded in Montgomery Village late Saturday, officials said.
At 10:04 p.m., police found a 20-year-old man shot in the 19100 block of Montgomery Village Avenue.
Preliminary investigations revealed the man met with a group of people in a condo parking lot near Stedwick Road and Montgomery Village Avenue, according to a news release.
Afterward, the man began walking south along Montgomery Village Avenue and realized that someone was shooting at him. He fled a short distance, crossed over the southbound lanes of Montgomery Village Avenue and collapsed in the northbound lanes, the release said.
The man was taken in critical condition to an area hospital.
