A man was shot at a party in Corwnsville early Saturday, police said.

At 3:16 a.m., police responded to the Anne Arundel Medical Center ER where a 20-year-old man was being treated for a gunshot wound.

The man and his friend, also 20, had allegedly been at a party on Summerhill Trailer Street, the man told police.

The men went outside briefly and heard a loud bang at which point everyone quickly left the party. The man and his friend also left, but he discovered he had been shot in the back. They drove to a hospital where it was determined his wound was non-life threatening.

Police continue to investigate and no other details were immediately available.
