A man was killed and a girl was wounded in a shooting early Saturday morning near the Benning Road Metro station in the Northeast.

About 4 a.m., police responded to a gas station in the 4500 block of Benning Road NE. Police found a man shot inside a vehicle. A 16-year-old girl was also found shot. Both were taken to Prince George's Hospital where the man later succumbed to his injuries.

The girl is expected to survive, police said.

The man was identified as Stephon Emmanuel Way, 24, of Upper Marlboro, Md.

The man and girl were not related. Police believe the two were arguing with another person and are looking for a man with dreadlocks driving a silver car.

No other information was immediately available.
