Selena Guzman, Massaponax High School student, killed in crash

A 17-year-old Massaponax High School student was killed Tuesday night in a vehicle crash in Massoponax.

The victim was identified as Selena Guzman.

Authorities report that there was a minor crash on Salem Church Road at about 6:30 p.m. The victim got out of her car to investigate and was between two vehicles when a pick-up struck the rear of one of the vehicles, killing her.

The driver of the pick-up remained on the scene. Authorities said alcohol and vehicle speed do not appear to be a factor in the crash.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash.
