Mayor Vincent Gray's approval rating at 34 percent
D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray's approval rating is sagging, a new poll says.
A Clarus poll says that Gray's rating sits at just 34 percent, and that's after a jump of three percentage-point jump since March.
However, the biggest jump came in the mayor's disapproval rating, which went up a staggering 13 points to 53 percent.
The poll also showed that support for Gray varies by race.
48 percent of black voters polled approved of the mayor's work, as compared to a 16 percent approval rating amongst white voters.
The poll says that 37 percent of black voters disapproved of Gray, while 77 percent of polled white voters had that sentiment.
The poll of 500 registered voters was conducted from Monday to Wednesday and has a margin of error of 4.4 percent.
The Associated Press contributed to this report.
