Md. cops nab 3 in attempted 7-Eleven robbery
MOUNT RAINIER, Md. (AP) - Prince George's County police say three men have been arrested in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a 7-Eleven store.
Police say two suspects wearing masks and carrying handguns approached the store early Saturday, while a third suspect remained in a vehicle.
Unable to get into the store because the door was locked, one of the armed suspects tried to run but was quickly captured by officers. The other two got away in the vehicle, but were later arrested in the District.
Theodore McNeal Scott of Hyattsville has been charged with armed robbery and is being held in custody. Clarence Brandy-Omarr Weaver and Dexter Deleon, both of Silver Spring, are being held at the D.C. jail and will be charged with armed robbery once they are returned to Maryland.
