Megabus Union Station accident injures one passenger
December 22, 2011 - 04:47 am
One person suffered minor injuries in an accident involving a Megabus at Union Station early Wednesday morning, officials say.
D.C. Fire says the crash happened at about 3:30 a.m., when the driver of a bus belonging to the popular discount service tried to park the double-decker in the new garage.
The bus, though, was too big, and it hit a crossbeam. Officials say the bus was arriving in Washington from New York City.
One of the exits to the Union Station parking garage was blocked for a period of time.
Megabus, and other discount bus services, recently moved their drop-off and pickup points into a large bus depot at Union Station.
