Metro New Year's Eve schedule to run normal hours

WASHINGTON (AP) - Metro will be running extra afternoon trains to help commuters leaving work early in advance of the long holiday weekend.
Metro says it will add additional trains on Friday afternoon to accommodate customers.
Metro will be open its normal hours on Saturday, New Year's Eve, and on Sunday, New Year's Day.
Saturday's hours are 7 a.m. to 3 a.m., and Sunday's hours are 7 a.m. to midnight.
No track work is scheduled for the holiday weekend.
The Washington Regional Alcohol Program is also running its SoberRide program through the weekend, offering free cab rides to help avoid drinking and driving.
