Michael J. Henley, struck, killed by cars in Fairfax Station
A man was fatally struck while he was crossing the road in Fairfax Station Saturday, officials said.
Michael J. Henley, 22, of the 8300 block of Ivy Green Road, was struck and killed by a vehicle, police said.
Shortly before 6 p.m., a Henley was attempting to cross Silverbrook Road near Crosspointe Drive when he stepped in front of a 2010 GMC Acadia driven by a 36-year-old Fairfax Station man and was struck, according to a news release.
Henley was thrown into the westbound lane on Silverbrook Road and was then hit by a 2005 Chrysler mini-van being driven by a 46-year-old Fairfax Station man.
Henley was medevaced to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Both vehicles remained on the scene. Neither speed or alcohol are believe to be factors in the crash.
No charges have yet been filed.
