Molotov cocktail thrown at Prince William County house
December 1, 2011 - 05:02 pm
A house was hit by a Molotov cocktail Wednesday in Prince William County but no one was wounded, authorities said.
The cocktail, which didn’t explode, was extinguished by residents of the house.
“We coulda been dead - that's what they said, or the block coulda blew up,” said a 19-year-old resident of the Lake Ridge home that was attacked.
Police don’t have a suspect at this time but said the incident was highly unusual.
“We don't get too many of these types of calls where it involves someone throwing an ignited device at a house and nearly catching it on fire, that's very rare for this county,” says Officer Jonathan Perok, Prince William County Police Department spokesman.
