Nationals Park disaster preparedness drill scheduled for Wednesday
December 14, 2011 - 07:29 am
WASHINGTON (AP) — Nationals Park is hosting some drills and exercise, but it has nothing to do with baseball.
The stadium on Wednesday is playing host to a disaster preparedness exercise that will simulate the response to a major terrorist attack.
The exercise is being conducted by the District of Columbia fire department and an active duty U.S. Marine Corps unit trained to respond to explosive emergencies.
The event will last from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. It is not open to the public.
