Newt Gingrich holding Rosslyn rally in run up to Iowa
ARLINGTON, Va. (AP) — Republican presidential candidate Newt Gingrich will be in Rosslyn on Wednesday for a campaign rally.
The town hall-style event is scheduled for Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. at the Key Bridge Marriott in Arlington. The campaign says the event is free and open to the public.
Gingrich and Mitt Romney are currently the frontrunners for the GOP nomination.
Virginia will hold its primary March 6. Candidates have until Dec. 22 to collect 10,000 signatures from across the state and another 400 from each congressional district to get on the ballot.
The longtime CEO of the Marriott chain, incidentally, is an ardent supporter of Romney, who spent years on Marriott's board of directors.
Gingrich has events scheduled in both Iowa and New Hampshire earlier in the day.
