Northwood High School stabbing leaves student injured

Suspects are still being sought in the Tuesday night stabbing of a teenage girl outside a Silver Spring high school.
The incident occurred after a basketball game at Northwood High School on West University Boulevard, Montgomery County Police say.
Police say that the victim, a 17-year-old girl, had been attending a the game between Northwood and John F. Kennedy High School. After the game ended at about 9 p.m., the victim saw her friend in a fight with another girl and tried to intervene.
Another female then got involved and stabbed the victim three times, police say. Both suspects are still at large. The victim, who is believed to be a student at Montgomery Blair High School, was taken to an area hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
The suspects, both of whom are believed to be Kennedy High students, are described as a 5-foot-6 black female with chin length hair, and a 5-foot-5 Hispanic, heavy set female with busy hair.
The entire incident remains under investigation.
