Person rescued from tracks at Archives- Navy Memorial station
A person was rescued from the train tracks at the Archives- Navy Memorial Metro station after a person fell onto the track bed, according to authorities.
The patient is being taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
Firefighters are on the track to assess the person's condition and prepare to remove the person. Metro officials confirmed power was shut off to the track. Special operations teams are on scene.
In a message from the official Metro Twitter account said trains are single tracking between the L'Enfant Plaza and Mt. Vernon Square stations, with delays in both directions.
