An armed man was taken into custody Thursday night after an hours-long standoff at a Falls Church condominium complex.
Police have locked down the Alexandria Campus of Northern Virginia Community College on reports of an armed man, believed to be suicidal, who has barricaded himself in his apartment near the campus.
A spokesperson for the Fairfax County Police says the man is alone in the Skyline Plaza building, in the 3700 Block of S George Mason Drive in Falls Church. It’s a 26-story residential condo complex.
All evening classes and activities on the Alexandria campus were canceled.
No one was injured in the incident.
