Prince William County police chase ends near Gainesville
December 1, 2011 - 05:56 am
A woman was arrested and another person is still at large after a high-speed chase on I-66 in Prince William County early Thursday morning.
Virginia State Police say that they pulled over a 1992 Cadillac on westbound I-66 just before 1:45 this morning on suspicion of DUI, but the driver of the car quickly took off.
The 12-minute pursuit ended near the U.S. Route 15/Highway 55 interchange in Gainesville, where police say they found a pound of marijuana in the car. One suspect fled from the vehicle and has not yet been found.
The other suspect, only identified as a 24-year-old female, is in police custody with charges pending.
