Robert Scott Morgan injured after jumping off Maryland Public Television tower
A BASE jumper was injured and cited for trespassing Wednesday after his parachute didn’t fully open when he jumped off the Maryland Public Television tower in Crownsville.
The jumper, Robert Scott Morgan, 25, of Fairfax, sustained injuries to his legs, police said. He was taken to a local hospital as a precaution.
Police said Morgan and another man, Sean Michael Bullington, 34, of Draper, Utah, were at the tower in the early morning hours.
Both men were cited for trespassing on private property. Bullington was also cited for making false statements to a police officer.
In a separate incident last week, five people were charged with trespassing and one was injured after one person tried to BASE jump off the WETA television tower in Arlington.
