Route 50 reopens at Kenilworth Avenue after two-car crash

Eastbound U.S. Route 50 has reopened at Kenilworth Avenue, hours after two people had to be extracted from their cars due to an accident.

Maryland State Police say the crash happened just before 1:50 a.m. along Kenilworth Avenue at Route 50. It took Prince George's County first responders about an hour to remove the victims.

Both were transported to local trauma centers.
