CUMBERLAND, Md. (AP) - An April trial date has been set for a female Frostburg State University student charged in the fatal stabbing of another female student.

The Cumberland Times-News reports that 23-year-old Shanee Liggins of Waldorf appeared in court for the first time Tuesday since last month's stabbing outside an off-campus party.

Liggins is charged with first-degree murder in the death of 19-year-old Kortneigh McCoy of Baltimore. She told police that someone else stabbed McCoy.

Visiting Judge John H. Tisdale set a trial date of April 30 for Liggins and set bond at $350,000. She faces up to life imprisonment if convicted of the first-degree murder charge and up to 40 years more if she is also convicted of first- and second-degree assault and reckless endangerment charges.
