Takoma Education Campus reopening after 2010 fire
December 22, 2011 - 07:26 am
A year to the day that the Takoma Education Campus was destroyed by a fire, the D.C. school celebrated its reopening on Thursday.
Flames swept through the Northwest D.C. school last Dec. 22, displacing hundreds of students.
Luckily, the fire broke out during the school's winter break, so there were very few people in the building hen the fire broke out.
Since the fire, students had been attending classes at a nearby facility.
The first classes at the rebuilt school will be held on Jan. 3.
