Takoma Park Holt Place fire injures one person

One person was injured early Tuesday morning in an early-morning house fire in Takoma Park, officials say.

Montgomery County Fire officials say they responded to a two-story home on Holt Place just before 2 a.m. and extinguished the fire, which had engulfed both stories.

A victim was taken to an area hospital in an unknown condition.

Damage to the home is estimated to be at $400,000. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
