Transgender person stabbed in Northeast

A transgender person was stabbed in Northeast Tuesday night, according to police.
About 9:15 p.m., Metropolitan Police responded to reports of a transgender person stabbed in the 1500 block of Gales Street NE, police said.
The person suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Police do not believe the incident is a hate crime.
No other information was immediately known.
