Twice as Warm's principle: Buy one, give one
December 16, 2011 - 09:41 pm
Many of us struggle with how materialistic the holiday season has become.
But one local company--called Twice as Warm--could help change that.
It was started last year by a 24-year-old Washingtonian, Brian Lieberman
.
The basic principle behind Twice as Warm, created in August 2010, is "Buy one, give one."
For every piece of clothing bought, the exact same item is donated to charity.
Mike Conneen has the story. He talks with Lieberman and with Marie Henderson, executive director of Interfaith Works, one of six local charities that distribute Brian's clothing to those in need.
