Tysons Corner Leesburg Pike ramp reopens
December 28, 2011 - 07:50 am
VIENNA, Va. (AP) — A ramp linking two important commute routes in the heart of Tysons Corner in northern Virginia has reopened.
The ramp connecting westbound Leesburg Pike (Route 7) with southbound Chain Bridge Road (Route 123) was back in service as of Tuesday.
The ramp has been closed since September 2010 for construction work on the Silver Line extension of Metrorail through Tysons Corner to Reston. The ramp had to stay closed while crews worked on the west end of a tunnel that will run underneath Tysons Corner.
The Silver Line is expected to open in 2013.
