Two men killed in separate shootings in D.C.
Two men were killed and two teens were wounded in a string of separate shootings around D.C. Monday evening.
Police responded to the 1100 block of 11th Street NW for reports of a man shot.
The male was unconscious and was not breathing. He was taken to an area hospital and later died. Police are conducting a death investigation.
A short time later, a man was shot and killed in the 1000 block of Taylor Street NE in the Michigan Park neighborhood. Police are investigating the shooting as a homicide.
Police identified the victim as 19-year-old Derrick Ragland of Northwest Washington.
In the Shipley Terrace neighborhood of Southeast D.C., two males in their teens were shot in the 3400 block of 22nd Street SE just before 8 p.m., police said.
One of the teens transported himself to an area hospital.
