WASHINGTON (AP) - A 42-year-old man who was struck by a Metro train in the District is making such a remarkable recovery that his friends have nicknamed him Superman.

The Washington Post reports that Victor Robinson was hit four months ago after he had an epileptic seizure and fell onto the track bed at the Friendship Heights station.

It's been a long road for him since then, but he has been getting stronger as he undergoes physical therapy.

The Post says Robinson is one of 13 passengers struck this year by Metro trains. While many of those hit by trains were killed, Robinson has made considerable progress in his recovery.

His goal is to return to his job as an advocacy outreach specialist at Quality Trust for Individuals With Disabilities.
