Virginia Railway Express on-time rate highest in system history

FREDERICKSBURG, Va. (AP) — The Virginia Railway Express has set a record for on-time performance.
Spokesman Mark Roerber tells The Free Lance-Star that the commuter rail's trains were on time 92.6 percent of the time from January to November. The previous record was 88.9 percent set in 2009.
October was the best month, with on-time performance of 98.2 percent.
VRE handled more than 4.6 million passenger trips, another record.
