60 firefighters from 3 Md. counties battle barn fire in Woodbine
Sixty firefighters from three Maryland counties battled a large barn fire in Woodbine Sunday afternoon.
According to a statement from Battalion Chief Eric Proctor:
Just after 1:00 pm today, the Howard County Department of Fire and Rescue Services responded for a report of a barn fire in 2600 block of Jennings Chapel Road in Woodbine.
Fire units arrived finding a 100' x 50' barn completely engulfed in flames.
Additional water tankers were requested along with a 2nd alarm which brought approximately 60 firefighters from Carroll, Frederick and Montgomery counties to assist.
Family members were successful at evacuating several livestock from the barn prior to the arrival of the fire department.
There are no injures to report and the fire is currently under investigation.
