Ann Monday, Fairfax City superintendent, to resign in June

FAIRFAX CITY, Va. (AP) - Fairfax City's superintendent has announced that she is retiring this summer.
According to The Washington Post, Ann Monday says she will leave on June 30 to spend more time with family members and friends.
As schools chief since 2007, Monday has overseen the city's four schools in a partnership with Fairfax County, where she was a teacher and administrator for 35 years.
The county provides day-to-day operation of Fairfax City's schools in exchange for a tuition payment.
