Antonio Pitt charged with sexual assault in SE

A man has been charged with a sexual assault that took place last month in Southeast, officials said.
On January 3 at 6:30 p.m., police arrested Antonio Pitt, 19, of Southeast and charged him with sexual abuse while armed.
On December 30 at 10:30 p.m., police responded to the 3900 block of 8th Street SE for a sexual assault.
Police spoke to a woman who said she had been walking in the 3500 block of 6th Street SE when an armed man pulled alongside her and ordered her into his black Chevrolet SUV, according to a Metropolitan Police news release.
The man then drove the woman to the 3900 block of 8th street SE where he sexually assaulted her, the release said.
