Fatal accident closes portion of 4th Street in NE

A portion of 4th Street in Northeast is closed while police investigate a fatal accident.

Police say a 40-year-old man was killed in a single-car crash near 4th Street and Massachusetts Avenue around 5:15 a.m. Friday.

The victim was taken to Howard University Hospital when he was pronounced dead.

Police have shut down the 300 block of 4th Street in one direction while they conduct an investigation.
