3 of 4 victims ID'd in U.S. 50 crash in Anne Arundel
UPDATE 4:55 p.m: The three victims in the car traveling westbound were identified as Breanna Marie Franco, 18, Brittany Ann Walker, 19, and Zachary Tyler Rose, 19, all from Anne Arundel County.
The fourth victim's identity is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
Four dead in U.S. 50 crash
A head-on crash killed four people early Saturday on U.S. Route 50 near Davidsonville Road in Anne Arundel County, according to state police.
About 3:35 a.m., Maryland State Police responded to Route 50 and Maryland Route 424 where a vehicle was traveling west in an eastbound lane and crashed head-on with another vehicle.
Three people in the striking vehicle were pronounced dead on the scene and one person of the struck vehicle was transported with life-threatening injuries to Anne Arundel Trauma Center. That person died en route.
There were no other people involved in the crash.
Police say at least one of the vehicles were on fire and one vehicle had an entrapped occupant.
Eastbound traffic on Route 50 was closed for about four hours.
It was not immediately known if drugs or alcohol were contributing factors.
