Fredericksburg man robbed outside Hamilton Street home
The Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office is on the hunt for two men they say held a Fredericksburg man at gunpoint near his home early Tuesday morning and robbed him of cash and valuables.
Authorities say that the victim was outside his home in the 400 block of Hamilton Street just after 4 a.m. with his dog. When he tried to turn around and go back inside, the dog resisted and began barking and growling.
Shortly thereafter, two suspects approached him with weapons and forced him into his house..
The suspects then took a safe, the man's wallet and two purses belonging to the victim's wife. They also got away with an undisclosed amount of prescription medication.
Both of the suspects, described as short, white, thin males standing about 5 feet tall, had their faces covered.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Spotsylvania County Sheriff's Office or Crime Solvers.
