Police arrested a 42-year-old man and charged with second degree murder for allegedly kicking his roommate to death in Charles County.

George Ronald Tanner, Jr., told police that he got into an argument with his roommate Luther Russell Huffman, 49, after the two had been drinking alcohol.

During the fight, Tanner told police he kicked his roommate repeatedly, police said. He then went to sleep.

When he woke, he found Huffman dead and contacted police. Police then arrested Tanner.

Authorities said Huffman died from blunt force trauma.
