Gilbert Wood, elderly man missing from Fredericksburg

Police need your help to locate an elderly man missing from Fredericksburg.

Gilbert Wood, 82, was last seen at Mill Park Terrace Apartments in the 2200 block of Caroline Street on Wednesday around 11 a.m. He suffers from a heart condition and dementia and requires his medication.

Wood is described as a white male, 5’8” tall and weighing about 175 pounds. Today is his birthday.

Police say Wood may be driving a tan 1986 Chevrolet Astrovan with Virginia license plates MP9220.

Wood was also reported missing in July 2011, and on that occasion he was located unharmed in Loudoun County, police say.
