Gray, O'Malley, McDonnell meet on Metro safety
Mayor Vincent Gray joined Virginia Governor Bob McDonnell and Maryland Governor Martin O'Malley today to talk about safety on Metro.
And after a week of startling MetroBus crash videos, they have a lot to talk about.
The meeting between the three was scheduled weeks before this.
Surveillance video released just days ago showis dozens of MetroBus collisions and near misses.
And ABC7 filmed another video last night of a MetroBus backing up an on ramp off Interstate 395 at the height of rush hour traffic Riders watched the video today
Metro told us today once they identify the driver, he or she will be terminated.
McDonnell had learned of the inicident and expresses his concern.
"Our biggest priority has to be safety," O'Malley says.
Beyond safety, WMATA's budget, another proposed fare hike, and improving overall service were chief among the leaders' concerns.
