(AP, ABC7) - A man awaiting trial in the deaths of a mother and her daughter has been sentenced to 100 years in prison for crimes committed during dozens of armed home invasions and burglaries.

Jason Scott was sentenced Tuesday in U.S. District Court in Greenbelt.

A judge called him one of the "most hated" people in the county.

"You're a bad man," Judge Peter J. Messitte says.

He was convicted in July of crimes including armed carjacking, producing child pornography and stealing firearms.

"The evidence shows that Jason Scott was a professional criminal who progressed from burglaries to armed home invasion robberies and became increasingly violent," said U.S. Attorney Rod J. Rosenstein.

Prosecutors say the crimes were committed during more than 50 burglaries and nine armed home invasion robberies.

Prosecutors say Scott used a database at the UPS facility where he worked to target the homes.

Scott faces separate murder charges in the deaths of Delores Dewitt and her daughter Ebony. Their bodies were discovered in March 2009 in a burning car in Largo, Maryland.

That trial is scheduled to begin in October 2012.
