John Thomas Cook IV, mall security officer arrested for stealing jewelry

A security officer at Arundel Mills Mall was arrested for stealing jewelry from a Gold Rush kiosk.
Police say John Thomas Cook IV, 22, of Millersville, Md., is charged with theft from $10,000 to under $100,000.
Authorities say Cook, along with a second suspect, was identified after reviewing witness information and surveillance footage from the mall. During a search of the suspects’ homes, officers recovered jewelry and cash belonging to the kiosk.
Charges are pending against a second suspect.
The investigation is ongoing.
