A Woodbridge man faces multiple charges after he allegedly cut the brakes in the car of a female acquaintance, which she went on to drive with her 2-year-old son inside.
Prince William County Police say that Kevin Christian Reilly, 36, cut the brake line in a car belonging to the 23-year-old woman on Dec. 30. The woman, who was not aware of the problem, then tried to drive the car.
She then realized that the brakes were unresponsive, but was able to stop her car safely without causing any damage or injuries to herself or her son.
Police say that Reilly faces charges of attempted malicious wounding, vehicle tampering and destruction of property. He's being held on a $5,000 secured bond.
