(AP, WJLA) - The Frederick County Sheriff's Office say a man left his two young children, including an infant, in a car while he went shopping.
Deputies say about 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, two children, a 4-year-old and a 5-month-old, were left unattended in a vehicle parked on the lot at the Wal-Mart in Frederick.
Authorities say he was in the store for 20 minutes.
Police say the outside temperature was 24 degrees and the windchill was 11 degrees. Forty-one-year-old Anisur Rahman of Point of Rocks was arrested and charged with child abuse.
The children were released to their mother.
ABC7 reporter Tom Roussey went to Rahman's house but both he and his wife declined to comment.
