NFL will allow players to tweet during Pro Bowl
January 29, 2012 - 11:57 am
The NFL is going to allow players to tweet during Sunday's Pro Bowl game, a sharp departure from the NFL's strict policy on social media.
The players won't be able to tweet from personal devices. They will have to use computer stations in a designated area on the sidelines.
The NFL, often called the "No Fun League" famously fined then Bengals receiver Chad Ochocinco $25,000 for tweeting during a 2009 game.
A spokesman for the NFL said the league will not consider changing its stance on in-game tweets during the regular season.
