Overnight lane closures on Capital Beltway in Va.
January 12, 2012 - 05:38 am
ALEXANDRIA, Va. (AP) - Road crews will close two lanes of the Capital Beltway overnight Thursday in northern Virginia as part of the Wilson Bridge construction project.
Two lanes on the beltway's outer loop, also designated as I-95 North, will be closed between the Eisenhower Connector and Telegraph Road to install overhead signs.
That will leave only one lane open and is expected to result in significant delays.
Project officials say the right lane will close at 9 p.m. and the center lane will close at 11 p.m., and both will remain closed until Friday at 5 a.m.
All work is subject to rescheduling based on weather conditions.
