Police are seeking the public's help in locating a man they believe is connected to last week's kidnapping and sexual assault in Northwest.
On December 29 at 8:30 p.m., police responded to the 500 block of Webster Street NW on reports of a sexual assault.
Police spoke to a woman who said she was driving in the 700 block of F Street NW with her 15-month-old son in the backseat.
A man then entered the passenger side of the vehicle and forced the woman at gunpoint to park the car on Webster Street in the Petworth neighborhood, where the victim was then sexually assaulted.
Police describe the suspect as a black male who spoke with a Southern accent. He has a medium complexion, a mustache and was wearing all dark clothing.
