Report: Rashard Lewis argues with Sam Cassell before Sunday game
January 9, 2012 - 08:44 am
Not only are the Washington Wizards off to a franchise-worst 0-8 start, it seems as if some in-fighting is already causing problems in the locker room only a few weeks into the season.
CSN Washington's Frank Hanrahan reports that forward Rashard Lewis, who didn't play in the teams' 92-73 loss to Minnesota on Sunday, got into an argument with assistant coach Sam Cassell before the game.
Lewis then did not play or even sit on the bench with the team.
In seven games this season, Lewis is averaging 8.7 points per game and just over four rebounds. He averages over 30 minutes of playing time per game.
According to HoopsHype, Lewis is the Wizards' highest paid player, making over $22 million this season.
