Sandy Stancil arrested for allegedly trying to rob two off-duty police officers

Police arrested Hyattsville man on charges that he tried to rob two off-duty police officers.
Police arrested Sandy Stancil. Police say he tried to rob two D.C,. police officers Tuesday at a Sunoco gas station in the 4800 block of Kenilworth Avenue in Edmonton, Md.
Stancil is accused of brandishing a knife and a can of tear gas. The officers pulled out their weapons and the suspect fled. But the off-duty officers arrested him a short time later.
