Earlier: Two different polls on the eve of the South Carolina primary suggest Newt Gingrich could be headed for a double-digit victory over the presumed frontrunner, Mitt Romney, according to the Huffington Post.
The American Research Group's live-interviewer survey Thursday and Friday nights and Public Policy Polling's Friday results both show Gingrich with a 40-26 lead over Romney. They had been in a virtual tie earlier in the week.
