Kenneth Randolph Hamilton killed in accident on Eastern Avenue NE

A man was killed in an accident on Northeast D.C. late Monday, police said.
The accident was originally thought to be a double-fatal crash.
At 7:52 p.m., police responded to fatal crash in the 900 block of Eastern Avenue NE, Metropolitan Police said.
The driver of a 1996 Ford F-150 pick-up truck was traveling northwest on Eastern Avenue NE when he crossed into the southeast lanes and hit a 2005 GMC Sierra pick-up truck head-on, according to a police news release.
The force of the crash caused the GMC to hit a parked vehicle which caused damage to two other parked vehicles along the west curb.
The driver of the Ford--identified as Kenneth Randolph Hamilton, 54, of District Heights--was taken to an area hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The driver of the GMC was taken to an area hospital, treated and released.
No other information was immediately available.
