Water main break cuts service near U Street

D,.C. Water reports a water main break on U Street in Northwest that’s affecting several businesses in the area.

Officials say a 12-inch main ruptured between 13th and 14th streets Tuesday morning. As a result, about 14 commercial buildings are without service.

Officials say service should be restored within eight hours.
